The Beauty And Function Will Follow

We have been carving into the hillsides at this home in Albemarle county, careful to save trees important to the family. The goal has been to increase usable outdoor square footage. It’s a tough time of year to work on a project of this size but our crew and the homeowners are looking forward to the end results.

Carving Out A Space

Virginia is fulling of rolling hills and breathtaking views. This home in Albemarle County is no exception. Windridge came in to help reclaim a little of that space for family friendly activities by installing some needed retaining walls. If there is a need on your property call Windridge and let us see if we can help make your dreams into a reality.

One of our biggest hardscaping projects of the year will be wrapping up soon. The owners of the property have been patient and kind as we worked through site difficulties so that the final results could be breath taking. The end of this year and early spring will be exciting when it comes to the landscaping. Native plants will provide a stunning addition to this beautiful property.

A few before and after images of a job site we’ve been at. The weather has made progress slow but it’s been worth it. Can’t wait to show you the final project, the results are going to be breath taking.

Stunning Landscape Design

This landscape project was a pleasure to work on with Susan Viemeister. We are often fortunate enough to collaborate with her.  Jeff worked closely with Susan and the homeowner to ensure plantings fulfilled everyone’s expectations. Sometimes with old houses field adjustments need to be made when unknown’s are discovered like old utility lines. http://www.houzz.com/projects/2175739/roseland-home

Ornamental Grasses Offer More

The benefits of ornamental grasses are abundant. Offering varied heights, textures, and colors make them extremely versatile in a landscape plan. Their low irrigation needs and pest free nature may be what makes you fall in love. Check these native grasses out at Devil’s Backbone Basecamp Brewpub and Meadows next time you get a chance.

Washington & Lee University

Our crew has been busy with a large landscaping project at Washington & Lee University. Cooling temperatures slow above ground growth, and moister soil encourages strong root development so it’s a perfect time for this project.

Project Recognition Well Deserved

Congratulations to David Anhold of Anhold Associates Landscape Architecture. His project at Devils Backbone Basecamp Brewpub & Meadows was selected as a Merit Award winner in the General Design Category by the Virginia American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). This project was a pleasure to work on with David and we look forward to more projects in the future.

Thank You UVA

The University of Virginia was gracious enough to host a luncheon, on the pavers we layed, to honor all the people that worked so hard to make the Rotunda Restoration such a success. We are grateful to have been able  to work in such a historic space and are so proud of this project.
